Initial Consultations
Your Initial consultation is the first step….in your return to your previous quality of life. It is our chance to have a detailed history of what brings you in to us and also about you as an individual. This is essential to create a personalised treatment plan which we can start in this very same appointment. The initial consultation also is your chance to ask as many questions as you can about the problem you’ve been struggling with and to discuss the treatment plan we recommend.
We have two initial consultations, we have the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Initial Consultation, which is for individuals that have a problem to do with a muscle, tendon, bone or joint. The other, simply the Initial Consultation, is for absolutely anything else.
Why have we separated them?
This is because an MSK consultation is always a lot more in depth because it takes a lot of history investigation, assessment and testing. This means more time is needed to ensure a proper and accurate diagnosis is reached, it also allows for the detailed note taking following your appointment.
Why is the MSK more expensive?
The MSK is more expensive firstly because there is more time involved in the MSK appointments and also with the record keeping following your appointment. Secondly, our podiatrists are specialised in musculoskeletal conditions, each with experience and masters in the area.
